If interested in a lecture spot ONLY, there is a $25 nonrefundable fee if request is received 30 days before the fair. There will be a nonrefundable fee of $40 per lecture spot if we receive your request 15 days or less before the fair.
Advertising and promotion are the speaker's responsibility.
Booth fee is due with application, (we fill up fast, so book early)
*Booths are on a first come first serve basis.
Late fee (Booth fee paid less then 30 days before the event) $50, in addition to booth fee.
Booth Sharing Fee - $50 per extra business, in addition to booth fee. The Booth cost does not include table and chairs, you must provide your own tables & chairs.
For Readers, we recommend a minimum of 3 chairs.
We take Cash/Money order, Paypal(There is a 5% paypal fee), Credit Card (over the phone) or check. You can also pay on our website (under the page of vendor opportunities.)

Vendor Contract and Agreements PLEASE READ:
Please be respectful and polite to your fellow vendors, customers, Fair personal and The Fair itself. We do not tolerate ill mannered behavior, if you are found to have violated this rule you will be asked to leave without a refund.
We have a ZERO Tolerance policy on Illegal substances at Des Moines New Age Shop and Events. If you are found to have violated this policy, you will be asked to leave without a refund and will be banned from our events in the future.
Quick note: Many of our Customers are extremely allergic to Marijuana, including 3 of our main Helpers. Even if you have a prescription, please make sure not to expose our customers and our Helpers to it.
Booth Fee DOES NOT INCLUDE : table, system of cash/credit card taking or chairs, you must provide your own.
SET UP HOURS Thursday 5pm to 8pm , Friday 10am to 2:30pm
We ask that all vendors be set up by 2:35pm on the day of the fair, late set up (barring prearrangement with Alicia or Medical/Family emergency) will incur a $50 fee, in addition to booth fee.
Teardown is at 5pm on Sunday, no earlier. Early teardown will incur a $100 early teardown fee (barring prearrangement with Alicia or Medical emergency), in addition to booth fee.
All Trash removal & Booth space clean-up is the sole responsibility of the vendor, if trash or mess is left in your space at the end of the fair-you are to clean it up & dispose of it in the dumpsters and garbage cans within the mall. Trash removal/Clean up by Des Moines New Age & Psychic Fair personnel incurs a $100 fee, in addition to booth fee.
If you are a Vendor, Reader, Business taking part in this show, you need to promote the show through your personal and Business social pages. Invite friends, family, coworkers, clients, etc. Share the event page, flyers, and posters on all your social media outlets and your website. Send out personal invites to your clients. Have an event calendar or flyer up at your show vending tables leading up to this event. Remember it is your show also. The more people you tell, the more successful show!
Total payment is due when you submit your application. A booth will not be reserved for you if you have not submitted a contract and payment. If you are unable to attend for any reason, your application fee and booth will be forfeited at 50% up to 30 days before the event and in full after the deadline (no exceptions). We want to keep our costs affordable but need to cover all costs and advertising fees for the event. Hosts reserve the right to reject any application at any time without reason.
Expo hosts are neither responsible nor liable for individual vendors, their personal items or vending property. Each vendor/business is covered by their own insurance/license for any service/products offered. Liability for any loss to the exhibitors shall not be the responsibility of the hosts or facility. Vendors are strongly encouraged to carry business insurance, covering trade shows and fairs, which ensures their goods, services and exhibits against loss or damage. Vendors are responsible for any damage they cause to the facility including labor charges to repair such damage.
Vendors must conform to all local law enforcement and fire codes, health regulations, electrical codes and other local, city, state and federal laws and regulations. Burning candles or incense is NOT allowed. Liquid displays will need host approval.
Electricity is not guaranteed unless you indicate on your initial contract that it is needed and you receive confirmation from the host that electricity is approved.
Booth space is strictly enforced. All merchandise and walking areas must remain within your designated booth size. Aisles and exits shall remain clear of debris and obstacles. All tables, chairs, signage, entrances and exits need to remain within your allowed booth.
You must allow entrance/exit from your booth. You cannot enter or exit your booth through a neighboring vendor’s booth. Display must be set up so customers can shop without going into a neighboring booth.
Do not nail, screw, staple or pin anything to the walls or floors. Masking/ painters tape is allowed ,so long as it is removed by the vendor by the end of the show. No duct tape or quick stick hooks. Vendor is responsible for determining how to display any signage. Many vendors will not have a wall behind them.
The host reserves the right to cancel and/or reschedule the event without notice. However , An explanation will always be issued. The Event may be canceled without notice due to venue damage or any act of nature. Vendors agree to not hold the host, any employees or volunteers, the facility or any successors liable for damage or injury caused at this event.
There have been issues in the past where vendors arrive after the fair starts and tear down before the fair ends. We ask that all vendors be set up no later than 15 minutes before the fair starts and to not tear down before the end of the fair unless it is a medical or family emergency (Emergencies do unfortunately happen). Barring an emergency, there is a penalty of $50 for setting up late, there also will be a charge of $100 if you tear down early.
